Additional Ingredients for Cooking:

  • 1kg piece Abrahams Beef Brisket

  • 1 large carrot, cut into large chunks

  • 1 onion, quartered

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 celery stick, cut into chunks

  • 1 leek, cut into chunks

  • 1 handful of parsley stalks

  • 2 unpeeled garlic cloves

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Place the beef brisket in a large pan along with the vegetables, parsley stalks, bay leaf, and garlic.

  2. Add water: Cover the brisket completely with water.

  3. Bring to a boil: Set the heat to high and bring the water to a rolling boil.

  4. Simmer: Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 2½ hours, until the meat is meltingly tender.

  5. Cool in cooking liquid: Turn off the heat and leave the brisket to cool in its own cooking liquid.

  6. Slice or shred: Once cooled, remove the brisket from the pan and either cut it into thick slices or shred it into pieces using two forks.

  7. Serve & enjoy! Best enjoyed hot as a main dish or in a sandwich.

  8. ⏳ Slow Cooker Method:

Alternatively, follow the same preparation steps and transfer everything into a slow cooker.
Set to high and cook for 4-6 hours until the brisket is melt-in-your-mouth tender.
Let it rest in its cooking liquid before slicing or shredding.

Both methods deliver an incredibly rich and flavorful salted beef brisket—perfect for a comforting meal!
