Please note these dates are from the latest harvest of August 2021 but they are of a mixed grade which means they aren't as soft as the previous batch we had. Our supplier has said that due to weather conditions and a lack of availability of labour, Ajwa didn't come out as soft this harvest and the same seems to be the case with most farmers in the Al Madinah Region.
They are, however, very fruity to the taste! We appreciate this isn't what customers are used to so have reduced the price of these.
Tayib Ajwa Dates from a heritage farm in southern Madinah. Juicy and much larger than what we are used to as its export quality. All from the last harvest and arrived from Madinah to us.
This farm, managed by a friend of one of our partners, does not utilize any fertilizers or pesticides in their Ajwa date palms. They are certified organic to Saudi standards but not to EU/UK standards so we cannot describe these as organic here hence they are labelled as Tayib.
Please contact us if you want more information.
500g of Ajwa packed loosely in a food-grade bag.
